Who are you?
Hi, I’m Anna, an Italian illustrator and graphic designer.
What do you do?
Nothing so thrilling, I spend most of my time drawing, cooking oriental dishes or just procrastinating on the web.
Why do you do it?
Because I enjoy it and it helps me to stay creative.
How do you create these images?
I start with hand-drawn images, then I add colour digitally.
Who are your influences?
There are so many! Just few names: Anke Wekman, Giuia Sagramola and Owen Davey.
What inspires your work?
Almost everything, i take inspiration from the web but also from the everyday things that happen to me, a phrase i heard on the train or something i’ve seen on the street.
What do you like?
Cooking! It seems a cliche that as an Italian i love food, but it’s one of my biggest thoughts. I also like cats (is there an illustrator who doesn’t love cats?), and my collection of watercolors that i don’t use very often (that’s a shame).
What don’t you like?
Photographers! And people who want to take pictures of me! I really hate photos! The other things i don’t like are onion and garlic.
