Who are you?
I am a bad actor, lets not pretend I am anything else. I’m just another homosapien, really.
What do you do?
Well, today I have been collecting seawater.
Why do you do it?
So I can put it into 7 different jars and label them after the seven seas, as if I have travelled to every one. Really I got it in Brighton, but it’s all the same sea really.
Who are your influences?
The Beats, Samantha Stephens, Simone de Beauvoir, Mark E Smith, Jean-Luc Godard, Harmony Korine, John Baldessari, Popeye, Sylvia Plath, “Superman” by Black Lace, Daniel Clowes, Friedrich Nietzsche, Marc Bell and the naughty kids at school.
What inspires your work?
Plane trails, worm casts, bubble tea and bebop. Motto: “Just Draw”.
What do you like?
Chaos, fried chicken, perplexion, diazepam, androgyny, wellington boots, subjective truth, grey areas, “The Midas Touch” by Midnight Star, my wife’s ears, violent murderous dreams, seeing a dog running down the street with a string of sausages in it’s mouth.
What don’t you like?
Turtles, greed, when dog’s ears fold back the wrong way, plug sockets being left on, the media, The Beatles, capitalism, people eating crisps on public transport, television, being touched by people I don’t like, my cat climbing all over me in the night.
