While many men are busy growing moustaches for Movember many other have taken it upon themselves to support the cause in other creative ways. Moved by the recent loss of a pal to Colon Cancer, Peter Farmer is drawing and painting a moustache for everyday of Movember. But as you can see, these aren’t your regular run of the mill Mo’s!
Pete says: I am an artist from Montreal, I have collection of creative artwork that is a fundraiser for Movember. I think it would lend itself to your magazine. A month ago a friend died of cancer at the young age of 33. Diagnosed in June the impact that anyone can be taken this quickly roused a want to take part in the fight against cancer. A mutual friend and I were talking about him and the impact his loss had on his family and friends. We came up with the idea that I would draw a moustache in a ridiculous and entertaining way for everyday of the month of November. The drawings would then be sold and the proceeds would go to Movember.
I presented the idea to Movember with some initial drawings and they loved it. This Marathon of moustaches will help spread the awareness of mens health and illustrate the spirit of the Movember.
