Welcome to a brand new feature here on Creaturemag. Sharing a slot with Chris Getliffe every other Tuesday will be Thom Kofoed and Steven Jarvis. These guys will be collaborating on a project they call “The inside thoughts of now”. This series of posts will consists of bi-weekly pieces of merged art and writing created especially for Creaturemag by these thoroughly good people.
We love this first contribution from Thom and Steven, entitled “Make Me Feel”. We wont let on too much about our thoughts on the piece as we don’t want to dilute your interpretation. We hope you enjoy investigating it.
For a bit about the artists:
Tom Kofoed graduated from the University of Brighton in 2009 with a degree in fine art. He likes to sew, make films, dress up and leave behind evidence of his existence.
I’m a writer whose interested in beautiful vignettes, moments captured in time. Words, text, sentences all excite me and are at the core of my work as an artist. Underneath the intrinsic humour of my work is a deep-seated fear of leaving no mark on the world… read more on his website.
Steven Jarvis graduated from the surrey institute of art and design in 2005 with a BA hons in graphic design. He now works as a freelance illustrator.
I specialize in reportage illustration and am inspired by my travels, most recently I spent four months travelling around South East Asia and have since exhibited work based on these places. I like cheesy chips and cider. Read more on his website.
