This Thursday 7th October is National Poetry Day. That would be exciting enough but what makes us even more thrilled is that Creature friend Ju Shardlow will be taking part in a world record attempt… In the space of 12 hours, Ju Shardlow (Red Bull -fuelled) is going to read 1000 poems. That’s 720 minutes to write 1000 new poems.
The event will take place in the main foyer of the Royal Festival Hall on Level 2 between 10am and 11pm on Thursday October 7th 2010. You can watch it live via http://www.athousandpoems.x10.mx/atp.
Check out further Event details on: www.nationalpoetryday.co.uk/events/london/
Also – Exclusive poetry from Creaturemag all week…
Creature will also be taking part in our own little celebration of National Poetry Day by releasing some exclusive poems from our favourite poets… The first will be from Thom Kofoed, Illustrated by Steven Jarvis as part of their “Inside Thoughts of now” ongoing project. Look out for that later today.
More poetry to come from: Richard Purnell, Gary from Leeds, David Selby and Ju Shardlow later this week.
Hope you have a fulfilling National Poetry Day.
