Chances are, if you’re into the music of Manu Chao, you already know Woz. At least you’ve probably seen the artwork, on book, albums or videos. That’s how I came across it, when the CD/book “Sibérie m’etait contée” was released in 2004. Wozniak’s illustrations are vibrant with colour and the effects of washed ink on paper, picturing multicultural characters and the praise of nature, while definitely observing on political and social injustices and the need to be an active social agent. All this presented in a very child-like way, with an impromptu feeling making it beautifully expressive.

 Who?
Wozniak, 58.

What?
The happiness of creation.

When?
All the time completely revolving around drawings and painting, multitask.

Where?
Rarely at home; if not travelling I’m at my studio.

Why?
Mystery.

How?
Drawings, editorial drawings, painting, comics, posters…
