Who are you?
Howdy all, I’m Gareth Barnes and I’m an illustrator based
in London.
What do you do?
I eat cheesecake and breathe on a regular basis. Creatively I spend as much time as I can, (when I’m not tied to the day job), producing illustrations for my portfolio, competitions, and general exposure.
Why do you do it?
For the fun, warm fuzzy feelings, and hope of workingcreatively full time.
Who are your influences?
I am influenced a lot by comic book artists such as Dan Clowes and Dave Gibbons, poster art, classical prints, and contemporary Japanese styles.
What inspires your work?
Cute things with little feet and furry ears.
What do you like?
Vanilla scented candles, eggie in the basket, and Bill Murray films
What don’t you like?
Mouse traps, Range Rovers, and marmalade
