Who are you?
I’m Chloe! I’m a recent arts graduate from Southampton Solent university, currently living in Brighton.
What do you do?
I mostly splash a lot of ink around and hope to make a good picture out of it! My illustrations are spontaneous and fun, like me I guess!
Why do you do it?
I’ve always loved drawing. I like being able to paint whatever I see in my own style, and from my own perspective. Plus I think I’d make a crap office worker.
Who are your influences?
Illustrator Julie Verhoeven has been a big influence since I started college.
What inspires your work?
A new set of inks, oil pastels, and good quality paper can set me off to a good start! I’m influenced by what is around me. I’m always observing things and drawing them. The last set of illustrations I did were inspired by a series of ‘social slogans’ that I felt had been lost in todays society.
What do you like?
Skittles, my fish-eye camera, CSI, and Bon Iver.
What don’t you like?
Pork.
