Who are you?
I am Harriet Seed, an illustrator and print-maker from Brighton.
What do you do?
I create patterns and illustrations using very lo-fi stencils to print shapes and textures.
i love repeating patterns.
Why do you do it?
I have drawn pictures as long as i can remember. it’s what i always wanted to do.
Who are your influences?
Johnny Hannah, Joseph Cornell, Celia Birtwell, my family and boyfriend [illustrator matt taylor]
What inspires your work?
Folk art, curiosity, circuses, overheard conversations, junk shops, tattoos, vintage typography, japanese woodcut prints
What do you like?
1950s furniture, my bike, being by the seaside in the winter, coffee
