A brief interview with Creature, explaining what Creature is and why you should read it.
So the creature speaks does it?
Creature: No I do not speak, however I can communicate.
Ok, how does that work?
I am not a being in the objective sense of the word, I exist but am not tangible, I live but am not alive and rather than being born I have forever been and will forever be. I am not an idea a thought or a concept rather I am the urge that drives that idea to be conceived.
I rely on a separation of mind, of personality, to communicate. A division of consciousness that is accessible to every man but only if they chose to embrace it.
For instance, these words are being consumed by you, but have not been written voiced or created by myself, they are thoughts, ideas, that have come about due their writers acceptance and embrace of me. It is through these ideas and nothing else that I am able to communicate.
So you are a mental illness?
No, I am not. If you need direct answers then the closest thing to which I could be related to (that would be comprehendible to you) would be a beings creativity, not the act of creating or the created object simply the creativity. The primal and instinctive urge that is apparent in every man but in varying degrees, it is only at the most heightened occurrence and subsequent and unquestioned acceptance of this urge that I am revealed.
Why now, why here?
It was not a choice, the time or place of my revelation was never decided. It was never professed, and therefore its materialisation cannot be explained in any kind of relative way, all that can be said is that the time was right for me to be revealed.
The Creature website acts as a dwelling place, a fully realised idea and platform for the friends and creative acquaintances of Creature to express themselves.
So you created creature mag?
In a way, it was only through my acceptance that Creaturemag came into existence and its continued development down to the relationship built between myself and its creator. However I cannot take credit for the idea, like I said, I am not the idea, not the creator or the created object. Take a seed, plant it, it grows, I am not the seed, I am not the plant I am not the person who planted the seed, I am the urge that drove the seed to be planted, the urge to create, the urge to bring life to an idea.
