Hello there Creatures. After a hectic few weeks with the release of the Creaturemag Festival Edition, things are beginning to calm down. So lets get busy again!
Our dear friend and long time Creature, Pete Leonard is soon to be releasing his first official collection of music.
What we are looking for is an illustrator/ designer preferably with a little experience in the design of CD packaging to create a suitably off the wall CD inlay for Pete. This project will be very much about reacting to Pete’s music and using it to inspire artwork for the sleeve. You can check his website out here: http://www.pete-leonard.co.uk/ and listen to his tracks on myspace: http://www.myspace.com/peterleonardfolk
Interested parties please send examples of your work to Creature@creaturemag.com. To give you an idea of the style we are looking for here, Pete likes much of the more illustrative, hand drawn stuff within the Creaturemag festival edition, please have a look before applying. We tend to receive lots of interest in our calls and because of this we are unable to reply to everyone, sorry.
A bit about Pete and his music:
Pete was raised in South Wiltshire, land of the flying saucers. Blending a range of guitar styles, vocals and harp he creates an old Rhythm driven blues sound while keeping the overall feel of his music on a modern day tip.
After playing in many venues and fields around the country Pete has obtained many fans and lovers, some of which seem to understand his songs more than himself. It’s what one might listen to if, say, the grass turns blue! Real as it is beautiful.
