What do you do?
I’m a freelance Illustrator based in Manchester,
Why do you do it?
I love to draw for myself, but equally for other people. Working with Blankpages I get the chance to illustrate the work of emerging writers and poets who may not have had that opportunity before.
Who are your influences?
I think subconsciously I avoid drawing too much on the style of other artists/illustrators but if I had to say… Edward Gorey, Raymond Pettibon and Hanoch Piven.
What inspires your work?
Poetry, prose and sometimes cinema.
What do you like?
Working on new, exciting projects with exciting people.
What don’t you like?
Short desks with tall chairs.
